The owner of Argos and Homebase today unveiled an 8% fall in half-year profits as it set the date for its separation from luxury goods brand Burberry.

The owner of Argos and Homebase today unveiled an 8% fall in half-year profits as it set the date for its separation from luxury goods brand Burberry.

GUS insisted its retail businesses were performing better than its rivals even though sales fell during the six months to the end of September and it was planning for this trend to continue for the next 12 months.
