The ISEQ index of Irish shares was in positive territory this morning, rising 15.89 points to 6742.09 by 11am.
The financial stocks enjoyed mixed fortunes. AIB and Bank of Ireland had strong showings. AIB rose 10c to €17.35, while Bank of Ireland rose 11c to €12.86. Anglo Irish Bank rose 1c to €11.35.
