Govt accused of fuelling electricity cost rises

The employer's body IBEC has accused the Government of fuelling recent rises in electricity costs by failing to reinvest its ESB dividends.

The organisation said the Government had received €184m from the ESB since 2002 and was set to receive €77m from the company this year alone.
