Internet search giant Google saw its third-quarter profits jump seven-fold from a year ago to $381.2m (€316.5m) as revenues nearly doubled.

Google - which is based in California but has its European HQ in Dublin - saw net profits surge from $52m (€43.2m) from the same time last year.
