Ireland ‘could become one of top-five richest nations’

Irish engineers have claimed the country could become one of the top-five richest economies in the world within the next 15 years.

However, in a report published today, the Academy of Irish Engineers and Engineers Ireland said this could only be achieved if the number of people graduating from IT and engineering courses doubled over the same period.
