EU Finance Ministers have agreed not to use “distortionary” fiscal policies in the short term in an attempt to mitigate recent oil price increases.

At a meeting in Manchester, the Ministers urged oil companies and oil-producing countries to increase their output with more investment in oil exploration, refining and production.
