CRH constructs 20% profits jump

Building materials group CRH has reported a 20% jump in profits to €445m, after a sales surge of 13% brought revenue to €6.3bn.

The company today credited its profits hike to strong performances in its US operations through the first half of 2005, combined with incremental contributions from 2004 and 2005 acquisitions.
