Record number of passengers at UK airports, despite bombs

UK airports operator BAA today said it handled a record number of passengers last month, despite the impact of the London bombings.

BAA said domestic travel was hardest hit in the wake of the blasts, with many Britons cancelling flights and opting to go by coach or train.
