CSO reports 3.5% increase in total farm incomes

The total amount of money made by farmers in Ireland increased by 3.5% last year, according to figures published today by the Central Statistics Office.

The CSO said Irish farms had an "operating surplus" of €2.23bn last year, compared to €2.15bn in 2003.
