US stocks finished a bullish week modestly higher today, with strong economic data encouraging investors and pushing the Standard & Poor’s 500 index to a four-year high for the second session in a row.

US stocks finished a bullish week modestly higher today, with strong economic data encouraging investors and pushing the Standard & Poor’s 500 index to a four-year high for the second session in a row.

After spending most of the session in negative territory, the Dow Jones industrial average rose 11.94, or 0.11%, to close at 10,640.83. It was the Dow’s best close since March 16.
