Independent Newspapers disappointed to lose case against State

Independent Newspapers said today it is disappointed to have lost a case against the State in the European Court of Human Rights.

The newspaper company had argued that the absence of guidance to juries in libel cases here regarding levels of damages had let to disproportionate compensation.
