The ISEQ index of shares fell back 14.42 to 6203.85 in early trading today as the financials suffered losses.
Anglo Irish was worst hit, down 14c at €9.90. Bank of Ireland was down 10c to €12.50. Irish Life & Permanent was down 5c to €13.50, while Bank of Ireland lost 2c to stand at €16.48 this lunchtime.
