Amicus targets engineering industry wages

The trade union Amicus is to use a €21m strike-fund to re-establish collective bargaining in the UK engineering industry, it was announced today.

Amicus, which has members in both Ireland and Britain, said it will use its “war chest” because of growing evidence that pay differentials between firms in the UK were growing.
