Unilever delivers sales boost

Consumer products giant Unilever today unveiled forecast-beating first quarter results, but warned market conditions remained tough in Europe.

The group, whose products include Magnum ice cream, Lipton Ice Tea, Hellman’s mayonnaise and Dove soap, said underlying sales lifted 6% during the quarter.
