Catalogue retailer GUS today said its credit-checking arm, Experian, had bought a US website that allows consumers to find cheap deals on loans, phones and other products.

Catalogue retailer GUS today said its credit-checking arm, Experian, had bought a US website that allows consumers to find cheap deals on loans, phones and other products.

Argos-owner GUS said Experian had acquired all the issued share capital of www.lowermybills.com for up to $380m (£199.6m/€293.3m).
