Net subsidies a huge part of agricultural income

In 2003, net subsidies accounted for 83.1% of agricultural income in the border, midland and western region, says the Central Statistics Office.

For the southern and eastern region, for the same year, net subsidies accounted for 58.7% of agricultural income.
