Retail sales up 8.6% in year to end of February

The volume of retail sales in Ireland was up 8.6% in February of this year compared to the same month last year, according to new figures from the Central Statistics Office.

The CSO said the value of retail sales, which takes account of higher prices, increased by 9.6% in the same period.
