Study to examine who is profiting from high food prices

The Department of Agriculture has commissioned a study into food prices in Ireland to determine whether anyone is making exorbitant profits.

The department's consumer liaison panel said the UCC study would examine the share of retail prices that go to each sector in the supply chain, from producer to retailer.
