The Small Firms Association has reiterated its calls for wage moderation, claiming pay rises were causing significant job losses, particularly in the manufacturing sector.

In its latest quarterly economic statement, the association said it expected employment to increase by less than 2% this year and said wage inflation was one the reasons for the low figure.
