The ISEQ index climbed 18.42 points to 6,790.63 in morning trading today, buoyed by positive figures from Allied Irish Bank.
Shares in Allied Irish Bank climbed 29c to €16.49 today. The bank announced overall group profits before taxation of €1.418bn in 2004, with profits up 11% in the Republic of Ireland and 16% in Northern Ireland and Britain.
