Two Irish firms to be prosecuted over ‘spam’ text messages

The Data Protection Commissioner is reportedly due to take prosecutions against two Dublin-based companies for sending unsolicited “spam” to mobile phone users.

Reports this morning said summons were due to be issued against the two firms in the coming weeks.
