Discount retailer Aldi is looking to open 200 more stores as part of a £500m (€712m) expansion drive over the next seven years, it was reported today.

The German chain, which is the ninth-largest retailer in Europe by sales volumes believes it can eventually build a network of 1,500 shops in the UK alone, the Financial Times said.
