The US dollar hit a record low of 1.3316 against the euro today and fell to a nine-month low against the pound on fears that Asian economies were becoming reluctant to fund the massive US budget deficit.

The US dollar hit a record low of 1.3316 against the euro today and fell to a nine-month low against the pound on fears that Asian economies were becoming reluctant to fund the massive US budget deficit.

The greenback broke through the 1.9 barrier against the pound for the first time since February.
