Car registrations fall 8.5% in October, says CSO

There were 5,830 new private cars licensed in October, 2004 compared with 6,371 in October, 2003, a decrease of 8.5%.

In the first 10 months of 2004, there were 143,901 new private cars licensed, an increase of 4.9% on the corresponding period last year.
