The ISEQ index has climbed 42.27 in morning trading today, buoyed by strong performances from financial stocks.

ISEQ surges higher in morning trading

The ISEQ index has climbed 42.27 in morning trading today, buoyed by strong performances from financial stocks.

Allied Irish Bank shares climbed 10c today to €14.48. Bank of Ireland, which yesterday announced pre-tax profits up 6%, has climbed 15c today to €11.18.
