CARA provides management solution for Canada Life
The CARA Group, a Symantec Elite Solutions Partner, has implemented a Symantec ON iCommand patch management solution in Canada Life.
Patch management is currently a major security concern for IT Managers.
The integrated solution uses Symantec’s Enterprise Device Management System for asset management, patch management and deployment across Microsoft Windows and Linux platforms in Ireland and Germany serving over 600 staff.
It provides a complete audit of all hardware and software inventory from a central console in Dublin, through network auto discovery and software licence usage and management.
CARA says it also gives an immediate view of the hardware and software inventory and now provides real time auditing of Canada Life’s hardware and software assets.
It also allows patch scanning, reporting, deployment and remediation (rollback) from a central console providing continuous auto-download of pre-tested patches.
Canada Life required a policy based, open, scaleable, unified solution for managing the full lifecycle of all devices including Operating System provisioning, Application Deployment, Ongoing Updates and Configuration Management, which was bandwidth optimised to cater for remote devices and mobile users in a multi-operating system environment.
