Weaker oil prices and a flurry of corporate news helped the London market stride back into positive territory today.

Media group Reuters and retailer Sainsbury’s were among the stocks whose updates helped lift the FTSE 100 Index 43.4 points to 4670 by mid-morning, halting its recent losing streak.
