ISEQ down as financials suffer

Yesterday's gains on the Irish stock exchanged were wiped out this morning as the ISEQ index fell back 18.88 points to 5,627.56.

Grafton Group shares were the most heavily traded up to 11am, gaainin 3c to €7.65.

The financials were all down amid heavy trading. AIB shed 7c to €13.80, Anglo Irish was down 5c to €15 while Bank of Ireland fell back to €10.95, 5c down on yesterday's closing price.

Irish Life & Permanent was down 1c at €13.10 at 11am.
