Computer store to create 30 jobs in Galway
Up to 30 jobs are to be created as part of a €2m investment in Galway city by computer firm PC World, it emerged today.
The company’s sixth store in the country is due to open in the city’s Wellpark Retail Park in early December.
The store will employ around 30 people selling more than 5,000 computer-related product lines, including PCs, laptops, printers, accessories and software.
Declan Ronayne, PC World’s commercial director, said: “We are delighted to bring the buying power of our 1,400 retail outlets across Europe to Galway.
“The choice available at PC World has struck a chord with the computer products buyer in Ireland and has prompted this accelerated store opening programme.”
PC World has two stores in Dublin, at Blanchardstown and the Liffey Valley Centre, and a further three in Limerick, Waterford and Dundalk.
The new Galway store will also offer customers the chance to use an in-store PC Clinic managed by fully-trained technicians, offering a PC Healthcheck.
