The volume of retail sales (excluding price effects) increased by 1.2% in July 2004 compared to July 2003, according to figures released today by the Central Statistics Office (CSO).

The volume of retail sales (excluding price effects) increased by 1.2% in July 2004 compared to July 2003, according to figures released today by the Central Statistics Office (CSO).

The story was not so positive for bar sales, however, where sales were down 2.8% in the three momths from April to June.
