67% of people who have a mortgage or who expect to take one out within the next two years said that they relied (or will rely) on savings to fund the deposit on their new home, according to new research.

While just 10% claim that they did or would rely on parents to give them a help with the deposit, 23% admitted that they had or would borrow the money to fund their deposits.
