Gate prices down 0.9%

Factory gate prices decreased by 0.9% in July 2004. This compares to an increase of 1.1% recorded for July of last year. As a result, the annual percentage change showed a decrease of 0.7% in July 2004, which compares to an increase of 1.3% in June 2004.

In the month, the index for export sales decreased by 0.9% and the index for home sales decreased by 0.7%. While in the year there was an increase in home sales of 1.2% and a decrease in export sales of 1.1%.
