New telephone service promises free evening/weekend calls

UTV has launched an Irish telephone service promising free calls at evenings and weekends to anywhere in Ireland and the UK.

The company said its standard charges for local, national and international calls would also be 10% lower than eircom’s, while charges for calls to mobile phones would be 5% lower.
