Furniture sales drive up figures, but bar sales fall again

The volume of retail sales (excluding price effects) increased by 3.3% in June 2004 compared to June 2003. There was a monthly increase of 3.2%.

Tfigures released today by the Central Statistics Office also show a further fall in bar sales, however. Sales in the sector were down by 1.3% year-on-year.
