Production down 1.7% in latest three-month period

According to the early global estimate, the seasonally-adjusted volume of industrial production for the three months ended May 2004 was down 1.7% on that for the previous three-month period, the Central Statistics Office said today.

The year-on-year decrease for May 2004 was 0.2%.
