Alcohol consumption falling, say new figures

New figures have reportedly highlighted a significant fall in alcohol consumption in Ireland last year.

Reports this morning said the figures showed that beer sales were down 2.7% in 2003, sales of spirits were down 21.2% and sales of so-called “alcopops” were down by 15.5%.
