IFA to outline response to nitrates action plan

The Irish Farmers Association is due to outline its response to the Government’s nitrates action plan in a submission to the Oireachtas environment committee today.

The plan is designed to implement EU directives on the use of nitrates-based fertiliser, which has been blamed for widespread water pollution in Ireland.
