The European Central Bank (ECB) has been called on to cut its interest rates in order to weaken the euro against the dollar.

Italian Prime Minister Silvio Berlusconi made the call believing the euro to be over-valued against the dollar and complaining that it is hindering Italian exports by making them less competitive.
