The Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD) has said that member governments have approved new guidelines on corporate governance in the wake of a series of corporate scandals.

The Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD) has said that member governments have approved new guidelines on corporate governance in the wake of a series of corporate scandals.

The new OECD corporate governance principles will set more demanding standards on the protection of shareholders' interests than the 1999 guidelines they replace.
