Euro inflation rate unexpectedly revised up

The annual rate of inflation in the euro-zone was revised up to 1.7% in March. Eurostat's final calculation was above its earlier, preliminary estimate of 1.6%, but in line with analysts' expectations.

The annual rate of inflation in the euro-zone was revised up to 1.7% in March. Eurostat's final calculation was above its earlier, preliminary estimate of 1.6%, but in line with analysts' expectations.

Euro zone prices increased by 0.7% from February, the biggest monthly rise since the launch of the euro in January 1999.
