Dutch airline KLM has raised its forecast to 'well in profit' for the fiscal year ended March 2004 after originally predicting a break-even scenario.

The Dutch national carrier, which is to meet shareholders to approve a proposed merger with Air France in four days' time, said growing passenger numbers and cost-cutting measures powered the figures.
