Boeing in discussions for new plane project

Boeing’s super-efficient, wide-seated new plane should have enough firm airline interest for the project to be officially announced halfway through this year, the giant American company said in London today.

A number of UK carriers, including British Airways and Virgin Atlantic, have expressed initial interest in the 200-250 seater Boeing 7E7, with Asian airlines expected to be the first to place orders.
