BA slims down economy fares from France

British Airways has said it is cutting economy return fares from France to London by 42% as the national carrier attempts faces up to increasing competition from the no-frills airlines.

As part of a restructuring of its pricing system a return fare to London from Paris will now start at €41 before taxes, compared to €69 previously, while a return fare from regional airports will start at €52 before taxes, compared to €89.
