UTV turnover rises 14%

Ulster Television has reported a 14% rise in turnover to £54m (€79.6m) for 2003. Pre-tax profit fell slightly to £13.6m (€20.1m), which was attributed to higher interest costs following a number of acquisitions during the year.

Operating profits were up 4% to £15.1m (€22.3m) with radio profits increasing 23% to £2.5m (€3.7m).
