Boston Scientific last night received approval from the US Food and Drug Administration (FDA) for a device to be used in angioplasty procedures that was developed at its R&D facility in Galway.

Boston Scientific last night received approval from the US Food and Drug Administration (FDA) for a device to be used in angioplasty procedures that was developed at its R&D facility in Galway.

Approval from the FDA will increase demand for the product and will secure the 600 jobs created by the company in Galway in the last year.
