The value of private-sector borrowings in Ireland increased by 1.3% last month, according to figures released today by the Central Bank.

The value of private-sector borrowings in Ireland increased by 1.3% last month, according to figures released today by the Central Bank.

The bank said the value of borrowing increased by around €2bn in January, with mortgages accounting for about one-third of the increase.
