Readymix profits hit by euro rise

Building firm Readymix reported a challenging year in 2003 with the strengthening euro against sterling having a negative effect of €0.7m on profitability.

Growth was resumed, but the intensity of competition diluted the sales advance of 10% to a profit advance of 4.2%.
