Economist warns against new wage deal

Friends First economist Jim Power has claimed that employers and workers would all be better off without a new national wage agreement.

The pay element of the Sustaining Progress agreement is due to expire in April and the social partners are expected to begin talks shortly on a new pay deal for the coming 18 months.
