The US financial management firm Merrill Lynch is planning to create up to 300 jobs over the next four years at a new office in the Leopardstown area of Dublin.

The US financial management firm Merrill Lynch is planning to create up to 300 jobs over the next four years at a new office in the Leopardstown area of Dublin.

The office will be the firm’s second in Dublin and the new jobs will bring its workforce in the capital up to 700 people.

The company’s expansion plan was announced today by the Tánaiste, Mary Harney, who said it was "a real testament to Ireland’s highly attractive environment for international financial institutions".
