The Small Firms Association (SFA) has spoken out against Ireland's new minimum wage, arguing that will be a deterrent for small firms to take on staff and will cause some to cut staff numbers.

In February the Irish minimum wage will increase to €7 an hour making it the third highest in EU, behind Luxembourg and the Netherlands.
